For more than 90 years, the all-volunteer Atlantic Highlands First Aid & Safety Squad has focused on delivering high-quality, emergency medical services to anyone who needs it, whenever they need it.
Every day, squad members drive to make the community stronger, safer and smarter. They also work to inspire others to lend a hand.
We are your friends, neighbors and families. We are the people next door. We are students, administrative assistants, parents, homemakers, medical professionals, engineers, flight attendants, doctors, lawyers, teachers, journalists, retirees and more.
We are just like you.
There is a place for you at the AFHAS, too. We have a variety of membership levels and there are many ways you can use your knowledge, your expertise, and your hands to reach your own personal goals while providing top-notch EMS to our community.
We respond to everything from minor falls, cuts, skinned knees, broken arms, stomach aches and car crashes. Think it’s all blood and guts? Think again. What every call does involve is our passionate, empathetic, highly trained members providing a vital service to the community.
Our members also develop and plan the annual Santa Runs through the borough. Were also at most events in the community and also, once deemed safe again, will conduct community CPR and other first aid training.

More important, see how you can become a part of this dynamic organization and give back to your community.
